* Responsibilities*:

·         Assess the particular project and/or technology environment,
pinpoint the processes that should be reviewed, and include the
stakeholders responsible for the processes

·         Design specific processes for uncovering business needs, such as
one-on-one interviews, focus groups, surveys, etc. Execute those designs
and pursue the information with consistent follow up

·         Clarify and document the AS-IS; understanding existing processes,
user experiences and workflows, then diagramming and documenting those
accurately and in full detail. The consultant will analyze and recommend
standard practices as appropriate; recommendations will be based on
industry best practices.

·         Understand and document the TO-BE; how business owners want the
existing processes, user experiences and workflows to be altered, and what
will be the metrics of successful change.  Provide technical/functional
guidance to all stakeholders and team members involved

·         Understand and document the Functional Requirements (if needed);
the specific details needed by the technical teams in order to design the
solution.

·         Produce Use Cases for Quality Assurance testing and undertake UAT

·         Meeting facilitation as requested, which includes meeting
coordination, minutes and action item tracking related to projects or
 enhancements.

·         Produce a section or sections of the Business Requirements
Document (BRD) for the project(s) as each cycle of Business Analysis is
completed, repeating this process until all aspects of the project(s) are
documented in an effective and expeditious manner.  The consultant will
continue past completion of the BRD to identify, validate and document the
functional specifications and use cases that will help provide form to the
final products.

·         Act as advocate for the business interests throughout the design
cycle to ensure that the final product is an effective solution for the
problems the business needs addressed.

·         Document and diagram findings  using tools such as Microsoft
Visio, Excel, and Power Point with well-written supportive text as formal
business requirements documentation, functional specifications, and use
cases.

·         Provide ad-hoc assignment support to short term projects, that
may include:

·         Support product managers to compile and document Project Charter

·         Facilitate complex business issue analysis and decision-making
---documenting sessions and driving to clear objectives provided by the
business owner or product manager

·         Produce operations and end user documentation

*Requirements:*

·         Must have depth of experience working as a Business Analyst in a
support organization or software industry setting. The consultant must have:

·         Experience documenting workflows and creating other process
documentation for projects at various stages of their SDLC (Software
Development Life Cycle)

·         Understanding and practice using UML (Unified Modeling Language)
and BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) Modeling skills.

·         Experience with business analysis, executive and technical
presentations, process and training documentation, plus User Acceptance
Testing (UAT)

·         Demonstrated ability to collect requirements using interviews,
document analysis, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases,
scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis

·         Strong expertise in Microsoft Visio and other Office products,
including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

·         Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

·         Excellent English language expertise in both written and verbal
communication skills

·         2+ years of work experience in a business analyst capacity

·         Understanding of project management practices and methodologies

·         Familiarity with the standards of technical writing

·         Background in marketing, graphics, or web development
