Job Title: Cognos Developer Location: Chicago IL, Richardson TX or Tulsa OK Duration: 6-8+ Months (Possibility of Extension) Interview Type: In Person *Looking for EAD, GC’s and Citizens Only* Position Description: Candidate will be Responsible for the development work needed to create Cognos Dashboards in 10.1. Effort will include working with team members in the development and deployment of dashboards including documentation. Candidate will develop dashboards based on current standards and best practice. Candidate will be responsible documenting as part of the effort. Successful candidate will be taking ownership while working with team lead of Cognos dashboards. Cognos report development is a plus for this role but not the emphasis. Skills Required: · Skills Required - Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with at least 7-8 years of related work experience. · Proficient in Cognos 8.x, Dashboard Reporting, Standard Reporting, Report Optimization, Cognos SDK JAVA development, Strong Transact SQL (MS SQL Server). · Proficient in working with Cognos Transformer Cubes and SQL server cube. · Preferred skills - BIRT 2.3.2 Report development in a Java application environment. · Proven experience in playing a lead role on Dashboards/Reporting & BI projects. · Excellent problem solving, analytical ability and debugging skills. · Effective written and verbal communication skills. · Working knowledge of Cognos Framework Manager. IBM RAD Version 6, & IBM WAS Version 6 would be nice to have · Additional Responsibility - Candidate will be Responsible for the development Cognos 8 Reports, Dashboards and enhancements to existing reports. Effort will include working with team members and customers to define and document requirements and develop reports and dashboards based on discovery. Candidate will develop reports based on current standards and best practice. Candidate will be responsible documenting reports as part of the effort.
