*Job Title: Datastage ETL Architect Location: Troy, Michigan*
*Duration: 6 Months*
* Looking for GC’s and Citizens Only*
*MUST HAVE FINANCIAL SERVICES EXP*
*Position Description & Responsibilities: *The IBM Datastage Architect is
responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of
extract, transform and load (ETL) IBM Datastage enterprise solutions. The
candidate will regularly interact with business users and technology
subject matter experts in order to document data acquisition and
integration requirements and provide technical data analysis and design
expertise. This position requires *advanced technical experience in
Datastage ETL solutions* preferably in a *Financial Services environment.*
*Requirements:*
1. Must have 7+ years of experience as an *Enterprise ETL Architec*t
using Datastage 8.X and above including:
- Participate in all design phases of the development methodology
cycle to architect and implement information technology solutions to meet
business requirements inclusive of ETL strategies and solutions by
utilizing established methodologies and best practices
- Make recommendations for ETL design and performance enhancements
- Develop and maintain ETL architectural design specifications
- Design and develop ETL Test strategies
- Prepare, maintain and publish ETL architectural documentation,
including high-level design, source-to-target mappings and
business-driven
transformation rules
2. *Must have strong experience with IBM Quality stage, Information
Analyzer, FastTrack, and Business Glossary*
- 3+ years of experience in designing Parallel, Server Jobs, Job
Sequencers and Batch Jobs in IBM DataStage 8.5 and above
3. Must have 5+ years of Datastage ETL development experience in
extracting, cleansing, transforming, validating, and integrating data from
multiple systems and heterogeneous formats
- Strong experience in business user interaction and requirements
gathering
- Strong working knowledge of data warehouse architecture, star schema,
snowflake schema, fact tables and dimensional tables
- Strong data modeling skills (normalized and multidimensional)
- Strong expertise in programming PL/SQL in Oracle 10g/11g
- Strong experience in performance tuning and optimization of Datastage
ETL solutions
4. Experience developing ETL solutions for Oracle 10g and above
5. Experience in Cognos 10 Business Intelligence Suite.
