Your reply will be appreciated.* The full Job Description is as follows: *Position : Sr Data Architect * *Location Frankfort, KYStart Date: ASAP * *Duration 6-12+ Months* *Immediate Interview* *Job Description:* Technical Skills Needed: · We are seeking a seasoned professional, with a strong background and experience data modeling for Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing projects to help build Enterprise Data Warehouse environment. · This role requires minimum 8 years of data modeling experience in multiple IT areas that include successful data modeling for IT initiatives like data integration, data ware house, MDM and Business Intelligence design · Wear a data solutions attach and provide data model design solutions that will perform with BI, ETL and DWH database implementations. · Demonstrated experience with Data Warehouse Architecture, Analytics design and implementation of data models for large scale data warehouse · Responsible for creating, updating data model solutions in support of Master Data Management, Data Warehouse/Data mart and BI reporting projects and initiatives across COT *Skill Set Required* · Strong demonstrated data modeling skills and knowledgeable with concepts, practices, and procedures within data modeling. · Thorough understanding of leading data modeling principles and tools (e.g. Data Architect, ER/Win) · Demonstrated experience in data warehousing principals and standards. Data modeling for multi-dimensional Data Warehouses using Inmon, and /or Kimball methodologies with one or more of the following technologies: Erwin or Data Architect · Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. · Ability to coordinate data models, dictionaries, and other database documentation across multiple applications. · Works with data transformation teams to ensure that the model design and development is properly communicated. · The candidate should have extensive SQL query experience · Problem solving and Analytical skills *Must Have Skills:* · The candidate should demonstrate an outstanding ability to recommend and define a scalable Enterprise Data Warehouse Data Model · Understand our data sources, current data environment, collaborate with the CDW Team (Architect, ETL & BI team, DA and BA to understand immediate and upcoming data needs and develop data model to support the requirements · Design and create the conceptual, logical, and physical data models utilizing data warehousing best practices, Capturing and maintaining metadata from all data warehousing components · Strong technical documentation skills (source-to-target mappings, LDM, PDM, etc) · Help implement best practices for Data Modeling and ensure adoption of Standards in Data Models that get created · · Demonstrated strong SQL skills with hands on data analysis skills to understand the data · Conduct analysis to validate the performance of models, recommend changes, and support closing model gaps. · Support model review and validation requirements; and support model remediation. · Participate in data capture, gathering, mastering and maintenance in support of modeling databases · Manage models by supporting data warehouses in terms of accuracy and completeness; understand data and process structures from System of Record to ensure accuracy and precision of data used for modeling, reporting and analysis data marts · Knows and understands how to Optimize Data Models · Drive standardization of processes that ensure timely generation and retrieval of reporting and analytics data, including support of model management framework · Experience in modeling techniques and solutions in dimensional data models Demonstrated ability to understand foreign and primary key requirements within a DW environment · Create physical data models using Erwin / Data Architect. · Work with DBA and Business SME to understand and document the key relationships and hierarchies in the data and translate requirements into data structures and reporting models · Has database experience with DB2, IMS, MS SQL Server, Oracle, SQL stored procedures, for interfacing with the database team to understand changes and implementation of physical design.
