Analysis of new metrics and reporting needs to identify data needed and perform gap analysis against existing metrics and reports. Responsible for gathering and assessing business information needs and preparing system and data requirements. Performs analyses and profiling of the data, create detailed mapping documentation including transformation rules. Creating and maintaining an inventory of reports and metrics. Preferred Skills Required: Has an understanding of healthcare / payor data, subject areas, and source systems. Must understand data, data relationships at the table and attribute level. Able to interpret measurement definitions, and perform data decomposition. Perform Gap analysis and impact analysis on any changes that are being suggested. Possesses working knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and data warehouse, knowledge of data and dimensional modeling. Solution development experience in Microsoft Access using Visual Basic or VBA. *Position Description: * · A data analyst is a highly trained individual that specializes in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data from various resources · Primary tasks of this position are compilation and analysis of data · definitions, meaning, usage, labelling standards and other source system information to produce IT consumable information · Data analyst often takes on other additional roles.
