If you have any excellent match for this position please send me resume and contact details. *Systems Administrator VMWare* *Colorado Springs, CO * *12 mth+ contract* *Visa: US, GC, EAD or TN* The candidate position is for an MS Windows/VMware server administrator having prior work experience with the skills listed below. The candidate will work with a team of other IT professionals to document, manage, maintain, and operate a “hot site” disaster recovery infrastructure. *Candidate responsibilities may include, but not be limited to:* server build and implementation projects, documentation, day-to-day server administrative tasks, assisting on problem/change tickets, troubleshooting, problem resolution, disaster recovery planning and preparedness, and leadership in execution of disaster recovery plans. The candidate must have excellent troubleshooting and technical skills, be able to work weekends/after hours, and be on call as needed. The candidate must be a strong team player and have excellent written and communication skills. A limited amount of travel should be expected to support disaster recovery testing and in the event an actual disaster scenario is declared. In general, the candidate need not be onsite where the servers are housed and may work remotely. Candidate must possess relative, recent, and in depth knowledge/skills in the following areas noted below. Required hardware skills and experience: • HP DL380, DL580, BL460, HP c7000 Blade Enclosures Required software skills and experience: • MS Windows – Server 2003/2008/2012 • Vmware – ESXi 4.0, 5.0, 5.5 • Tools – vMotion, vCenter Converter, vSphere Other required technical, administrative or project experience: • Must be proficient in shell scripting. • Experience with P2V and V2V migrations • Capacity Planning • Disaster Recovery planning and execution. Server administration – demonstrated day-to-day experience and skill in the areas noted in the following table.
