 Job Title:  *Service Delivery lead-Infrastructure*
Client Location:  *Indianapolis, IN*
Duration of Project*:  Contract (3 months)*

Technical Skills Needed:

*Job Summary:* The Service Delivery Lead serves as a senior member on the
Infrastructure as a Service Server team. The position is part of a team
that is responsible for supporting the KAR ITSS production, development,
and test server environments. The candidate will utilize his/her expertise
in VMWare, Windows Server, Citrix, Exchange, Active Directory, PowerShell
and related technologies to monitor, maintain availability, assure
performance, problem solve, design, secure, scale, and implement solutions
in a complex environment.


*Responsibilities and Duties:  Strategy and Planning*

1.     Identify trends to proactively prevent service outages.



2.     Work closely with the IaaS Solutions team to evaluate and report on
suitability and feasibility of new technology solutions.



3.     Lead and/or assist in technology evaluations, proof-of-concept, and
implementations.



4.     Provide input for short and long range planning of core server
infrastructure solutions.



5.     Provide mentorship by sharing knowledge and building redundancy
within the team.



6.     Work across teams to assist in determining strategic direction to
enable business goals.



7.     Leadership for services delivered with operation and project
responsibilities.



*Operational Management*

8.     Maximize performance by monitoring, troubleshooting problems and
outages, scheduling upgrades.



9.     Create and maintain documentation related to technical architecture,
standards, procedures, and policies.



10.  Manage process for communicating outage/emergency activities to the
organization.



11.  Work with the relevant stakeholders and the team to carefully plan,
design and deploy with

continual improvements to service quality.



12.  Provide customer support, configuration, implementation,
troubleshooting and follow installation procedures.



13.  Provide timely, detailed, and accurate resolution for all
issues/projects assigned.



14.  Provide data and reporting of KPI’s and trends to IT customers in
ad-hoc, weekly, monthly, etc.



15.  Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities;
reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks;
participating in professional organizations.  Provide basic technical
support for installation activities and routine troubleshooting of KAR
server infrastructure.





*Skills/Qualifications**:* Must have a good blend of technical and customer
facing skills. The role will involve providing direction, leading the team,
but no supervisory responsibilities. The candidate must be technically
sound with advanced knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware,
Citrix, SCCM, and ITIL-based service delivery technologies.  Should be
familiar with server/storage infrastructure hardware platforms including
HP, Dell Cisco, NetApp, EMC.





*Educational Requirements and Qualifications:* Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
At least five (5) years’ experience in a Windows Server infrastructure role
preferred. Proficiency with networking and storage protocols, standards and
basic troubleshooting.
