*Job description, roles and responsibilities :*



1) Gathering requirements from the stakeholders

2) Identify dependencies, risks and issues from requirements

3) Create Architecture Decision Documents whenever it is required while
designing the application

4) Create Application Artifacts like Interaction Sequence Diagrams,
Application Environment Diagrams, Class Diagrams and Use case diagrams

5) Document Current state architecture and Target architecture

7) Take innovative approach to design strategies.

8) Provide engineering and operation support as Tier 34 engineer.

9) Work with lab and production and Product Development stakeholders for
feature enhancements.

10) Document and Implement minor to large feature enhancements with
development team.

11) Support QA Testing team in certifying the solution.



* Operational Support:*

Operational Support

Provide tier 34 technical support in resolving issues seen during QA,
trial, deployment and post-production phases

Test and deploy enhancements and bug fixes

Provide support with testing and deployment of new feature enhancements and
bug fixes

Sanity test plan and test cases

Plan for running sanity, and the list of test cases that will be used for
sanity testing the solution

Daily standup reporting

A quick daily status update. Requires very good interpersonal and
communication skills.

Development and Production instance Maintenance

Support and maintain the development and production environments



*Technical Skill Sets for WebRTC role:*

- Must have very strong experience in SIP protocol and troubleshooting.
(Experience in SIP routing and in depth knowledge).

- Must have operational experience in Mobicent/JBOSS /JAVA
(configuration/performance tweaking)

- Must have operational experience in Linux environment.
(configuration/performance tweaking)

- Must have strong scripting language in any PHP, Bash, node.js, ruby
SIP-P, Perl , Curl etc

-  Experience in service provider VOIP networks (likes of ATTT, MSOs etc)
is a plus.

- Experience in IMS is a plus

- Any JSR289 or JSR116 and Java language would be a plus

- Some server admin (both iron and/or cloud) would be a plus

- Experience in STUN/TURN/ICE/MGW is a bonus

- Familiarity with WebRTC protocols is a bonus



*Sample Screening Questions for potential Candidates:*

1) What is your voip experience ? Have you used SIP based applications ?

2) What system did you use for SIP based applications ? CMS ? PBX ? Open
Source application ? Elaborate.

3) Walk me through a call flow using SIP protocol how User agent A (phone)
calling User agent B.

(expect they mention and describe sip messages starting with Registration,
then Invite, then 180 then 200Ok etc..)

4) Mention some of the SIP message body headers and usage.

Example, INVITE message

(they should know Request URI, via contact, contact and SDP)

5) What does SDP message part in SIP message used for ?

(expect they try to explain that it facilitates media negotiation)

6) Have you worked in Linux environment ? Have you installed any
applications in Linux? What flavor of Linux operating system ?

Ok if they know any of the flavors

7) What scripting language do you feel comfortable with ? Javascript,
Python ? prefer Javascript

8) Have you worked in IMS environment?

9) Walk me through a call flow using SIP protocol how User agent A (phone)
calling User agent B. in IMS and start with INVITE message

(expect that they try to mention roughly message flow phone A &gt;pcscf
&gt; Scscf &gt; application server &gt; Scscf &gt; pcscf &gt; phone B

10) For JAVA question : Have you programmed in JAVA before ? Have you
written a SIP application ?

11) Are you familiar with JSR289 ? (This is would be an environment they
build SiP application in JAVA.

12) Have you written any application in Node.js ? or Javascript ?

13) Do you have any experience in deploying applications in Cloud
environment ?

14) Are you familiar with Openstack or KVM or Vmware application deployment
?

15) Have you used Sip-p for generating calls ?

16) Have you used wires hark for ttrouble shooting ?

17) What database systems have you installed and operated ?

18) Have you done Splunk integrations?
