Thanks.!!! *Job title: 1062365: Java Web Developer* *Location: Cleveland, Ohio* *Duration: 6+ Months* *Citizens Only* *Description of role:* Developer (Programmer) who will be responsible for all aspects of system development and maintenance including: requirements gathering, system analysis and design, documentation, coding, testing, implementation, assisting with the distribution and installation of any client-resident executables and programs, monitoring batch processing executions and result logs, researching and resolving production problems, data analysis and ad hoc reports, dealing with end users and hosting sites to resolve issues, acting as a point-of-contact (POC) for customers and the System Manager (SM) and providing technical support to end users and other developers. The candidate should be familiar with basic Capability Maturity Module Integrated (CMMI) principles. The candidate must also be willing and able to work within the confines of Government provided software tools as well as within the confines of software distribution via a desktop management service. Must be familiar with programming languages and development tools as specified in the skillset section of this document and must be willing and able to work in a team environment. The candidate will need to take part in development and maintenance work on a web-based application and associated batch processing: SORS. The technologies used include: JAVA, JavaScript, HTML, JSP, STRUTS, OC4J, JDBC, Oracle database, PL/SQL, and UNIX scripts. Development and maintenance work on the system includes; requirements gathering, system analysis and design, documentation, coding, testing, implementation, monitoring production jobs, researching and resolving production problems, dealing with end users and hosting sites to resolve issues, acting as an assistant POC for customers and the SM and providing technical support to end users. *Comments:* The candidate must be able to communicate very clearly verbally and in writing in English with a wide variety of personnel including managers, customers, developers, System Administrators, Database Administrators, etc. A requested start time between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM will facilitate maximum system and user support. Although infrequent, this position may require occasional weekend/evening support.
