Project Description: Develop an in-house client-side modular framework using object-oriented (OO) JavaScript, OO CSS, HTML5, leveraging core jQuery libraries including various plug-ins, that will support internal and external web applications with cross browser compatible, reusable, responsive & accessible code. Day to day tasks: The consultant would be working with the User Interface staff in the role of a lead architect. He(She) will be responsible for completing the design and coding of the new UI framework. Substantial work has been done on this project and the consultant would be expected to follow the direction currently established and carry the project through to completion. Duties also include training the UI staff to use and support the new framework, teaching them standards and best practices and system architecture and design, assist programmers with conversion of JSPs , collaborating with the JAVA framework team and others, debugging help tickets, documenting the UI framework and setting guidelines for coding enhancements including unit and regression test design.
