Candidate should be able to translate a design concept into a working diagram highlighting individual hardware/software components required to integrate the project into existing infrastructure. • Manage to engineering milestones by ensuring that development, integration, test and production environments are all in sync; implement revision change control • Support and maintain communication and project workflow between development group and operations group. • Ability to provide engineering input for database development (SQL, Access) and Business Objects • Fluency in Linux/UNIX a plus • Implement and configure server virtualization technology such as VMWare and Citrix Xen and the proper use of these environments. • VMWare vCloud Director • VMware vCenter Operations Manager • Cluster deployments • vDistributed Switches • vMotion • Able to create, maintain & deploy templates • Create clones & customization profiles • High Availability (HA) & Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS) • Host profiles • Install and configure Dell servers (Rack mounted & Blades) • M1000e • M620 • R610, 620, 810, 820 • Install and configure Cisco UCS servers a plus Technical Qualifications • 7+ years of experience in networking industry. B.S (or higher) in computer science or equivalent. • Experience with Redhat Enterprise Linux 5.x - 6.4, Redhat Deployments using Kickstart installations, Redhat Clustering configuration and deployments • Experience with Oracle Linux 5.6 - 6.4 and Oracle RAC cluster technology • Virtualization software/hardware: VMWare, Citrix Xen, Network bonding, and VLAN Trunking • Server platforms: Dell OpenManage, x86, x86-64, IA64, PA-RISC, SPARC, POWER • Experience with the deployment and management of storage hardware: • 3PAR, EMC, Isilon IQ, iDRAC configuration & management and Netapp NAS appliances • SAN hardware and technologies: EMC/Brocade, SAN Directors, Fibre-Attached storage, iSCSI, RAID levels and best practices • Linux administration to include networking, storage, multipathing configurations • Familiarity with: • NTP, DNS, NFS, Load Balancing • Fiber Channel zoning concepts • Brocade administration, NPIV & Access Gateway Mode • HTTP servers and understanding of content delivery/CDN integration • High Availability and Scalability Technology: Brocade Load Balancers, clustering software, auto-failover, Ethernet bonding Office and Interpersonal Skills • Must be able to work successfully in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment, and effectively multi-task multiple priorities in a team-oriented setting. • Candidates should possess excellent written/verbal communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills and be able to communicate ideas and concepts between different departments. • Demonstrate leadership and organizational skills by seeing a project from engineering design concept to final product deployment. • Establish technology roadmaps for servers, OS versions, and cluster software through product evaluations and collaboration with development and operations groups. • Must be able to work both independently on projects and cooperatively within a team environment. • Must be proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, Visio and Access. • May require up to 20% travel; must have the ability to expense travel costs prior to reimbursement.
