Please send your available matching candidates on ke...@riderconsultinginc.com Job :Senior Java Developer with familiarity about Cloud Location: Ann Arbor, MI Duration: 12+ months The Opportunity The cloud applications team is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to develop new web applications and services for the client’s platform. Client teams are leveraging Amazon Web Services, Cassandra, Spring, Kafka, Hadoop, Oracle and SEAM to build distributed applications following emerging cloud architectural patterns. The successful candidate will have applicable leadership experience, experience with large-scale distributed web applications, a high degree of intellectual curiosity, excellent problem solving skills, and strong communication and interpersonal skills. This is a unique opportunity to be on the leading edge of building large-scale, cloud delivered web applications that host hundreds of millions of sessions of annually. Our teams are using the same architecture, technologies, and tools as companies like Netflix, Etsy, and Amazon.com. Responsibilities: • Participate as a key member of the product team to understand business goals, define acceptance criteria, and build backlogs. • Lead implementation teams through the build out of high-performance, elastic, and scalable web applications and web services. • Analyze and improve platform performance using tools like AppDynamics that provide deep insight of application performance through JVM instrumentation in test and production environments. • Perform as a member of the development team doing hands-on software development, testing, deployment and monitoring. • Work closely with and incorporate feedback from product management, user experience designers, and platform engineers Requirements: • Experience with web application development in Java and including full web technology stack (e.g. HTTP, cookies, headers, caching, and security) • Experience as a Technical Lead on a large complex project • Experience architecting and building web scale/high volume systems • Experience building RESTful web services • Experience with RDBMS and Java ORM frameworks(eg., Oracle, Hibernate, etc) • Experience with Linux, shell scripting or other scripting languages • Willingness and ability to learn new approaches and emerging technology quickly • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Advanced problem solving skills Desired: • Experience or familiarity through self-study and experimentation with one or more cloud providers • Experience working in an agile software development environment • Experience with distributed source code management such as Git • Experience with XML parsing and transformation using XSLT • Familiarity with networks and load balancing • BS or MS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work Thanks, Kevin Patel Technical Recruiter 50 Cragwood Rd, Suite 205, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 Rider Consulting Inc.
