Responsibilities
• Be part of the 24x7 Tier 2 support team working in shifts.
Initial requirement is to support evening and night shifts
• Provide the first line of defense for field issues. Run the
basic problem isolation drill and escalate the issue to T3 if required
• Act as the coordinator during the process of troubleshooting.
Maintain a conference bridge, remote connectivity where T3 support can
gather more information
• Facilitate the gathering of requested information to T3
support, or vendors
Skills:
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent preferred
• Relevant industry experience (7+ years)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with positive
attitude
• Current experience in supporting mission critical telecom
applications with 100% uptime
• Should have worked with blade servers, load balancers
• Expertise on Linux OS commands
• Experience with scripting languages like Shell/Perl/python/TCL.
Ability to write scripts for repetitive jobs to save time.
• Required experience with IP protocols (TCP, HTTP, Diameter).
Should be able to inspect protocol packets.
• Expertise in using tools like tcpdump/wireshark
• Previous experience in executing change management processes-
documentation requirements.
• Ability to deploy hotfixes/patches/solutions in live
environments
