They determine the required skill sets and organizes the manpower needed to implement the release. The role provide technical support to software developers, operations and business unit personnel in executing and managing QA processes and establishing the environments used to conduct testing of the final deliverables. The release manager directs activities to ensure the software products meet quality standards and performance objectives within defined time and budget targets. *Required Skills:* · Handles deployment coordination and communication across teams. • Responsible for the branching of the SVN repository . • Coordinates which code branches are on the various development & staging environments • Simplified straight forward email communication sent with reserved frequency • For deployments that only require a "button push", they'd be responsible for that push • Research & propose solutions to support Continuous Integration • Allocate resources for a deployment in order to ensure a successful deployment but keeping in mind associated call of superfluous staff • Works on processes and technical improvements that lead to reduced time and resources in executions of deployments *Technical Skills:* · 4 years experience with software release management · SVN branching and code management · Experience working with GIT and STASH · Jenkins & Maven experience · Experience in Java and scripting language · Experience with Agile/Scrum or other non-waterfall methodologies. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Conceptual understanding of the infrastructure side of an enterprise · Experience in test driven development methods *Soft Skills:* · Focused and versatile team player that is comfortable under pressure. · Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills. · Demonstrates political acumen - quickly earns the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders. · Ability to effectively navigate a highly matrixed organization. *Desired Skills:* · RunDeck · Deployment Automation *Thanks and Regards* James | Talent Acquisition - Manager | V.L.S Systems Inc.
