The Database Administrator is responsible for the overall management of our
SQL Server Oracle and Essbase database infrastructure to ensure database
accessibility and superior performance.
You must have a minimum of 3-5 years experience installing, configuring and
monitoring database systems in support of various ERP/transaction systems,
operational data stores, data warehouses and data marts.
The Database Administrator reports into the IT organization and works on
cross-functional teams to provide a solid database environment to support
all current and future application platforms by designing, building and
managing SQL Server, Oracle and Essbase databases. You must be a team
player with a “Friendly” can do attitude and comfortable working in a
matrix Business and IT team environment.
*The candidate must have 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in the
following areas:*
· Database software installations, configurations and upgrades,
database backups and recoveries, performance tuning and monitoring,
troubleshooting and problem resolution in and mission critical environment
for SQL Server and Oracle DB
· Determine business requirements for planning, deploying and
maintaining test and production systems.
· Database auditing and managing user groups, Database security,
and provide table space monitoring.
· Experience with administration of all database objects, including
tables, partitions, clusters, indexes, views, sequences, packages and
procedures.
· Enterprise Data Integration experience working in a Unix &
MicroSoft environment using SQL, PLSQL, TSQL and Kshell scripting.
· Should have excellent analytical, problem solving, verbal and
written communication skills, be self-motivated with the ability to
prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.
*The following experience would be a plus:*
· Support, develop and maintain Hyperion system and Essbase,
including metadata management, configuration, customization, data loads,
reconciliations, hierarchy
updates, calculation script
updates, system upgrade, backup and user security
· Good working knowledge of Essbase Integration Services and
Essbase Administration Services. EAS, EIS.
Data integration supporting application to application and traditional data
warehouse architectures such as operational data stores, data warehouses,
data marts, cubes, etc.
· Familiarity working with leading ERP/MRP/Financial systems as
source systems and understanding data relationships across systems.
Familiarity with ETL tools such as SSIS, Informatica, etc.
· Leading data profiling and data quality improvements.
