.Net Developer

Austin,TX

6+months

Day-to-Day:

We are looking for a .NET Developer with *accessibility* experience. This
agency is having issues with a student loan web application not being
accessible to people that are hearing/visually impaired. They are using
JAWS (software for hearing impaired) & CodeSniffer (free HTML tool that
points to specific spot in code). This person needs to have a strong
understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML mark-ups, adding
header tags, and labels to a different part. The first part of this project
will be working with the part of the website that is external facing to the
students and the public. This part of the project will be about 3-4 months
and is the most pressing. The second part of the project will be a part of
the application that is for their internal staff. Currently, it is COBOL
based and they are using a conversion utility to convert this to .NET.
Overall, we are looking for a strong front-end .NET Developer with HTML
experience and strong accessibility knowledge.

Must-haves:

- 5+ years .NET Development

- HTML experience (markups, header tags, labels)

- Web application development

- Accessibility experience (preferably with *JAWS,* or
*CodeSniffer*) (Some others are ZoomText or Dragon Naturally Speaking)

Plusses:

- COBOL experience

- JAWS experience

- CodeSniffer experience
