*Duration: Long term* Position Summary We are looking for an experienced senior Linux engineer to be a part of Comcast Business operations team, based in Reston, VA. This team is responsible for the deployment, performance, maintenance, improvement, security, and availability of the infrastructure and applications that power the Comcast Business provisioning and SaaS environments. Has ability to write concise documentation. · Required · Experience in a Production Environment: Previous hands-on technical experience in a large-scale production environment. · *Highly experienced with Linux operating systems (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS), Tomcat, Apache, Puppet, MySQL especially as it pertains to web application.* · Experience with cloud technology (OpenStack, VMware) and virtual deployment methodology Strong scripting skills to automate deployments and maintenance. · Plusses · Experience being the remote office in a large program Familiarity with Comcast’s services Experience working closely with Comcast business units Experience working at Comcast as a technical manager for production systems Education Level: Bachelors Degree or Equivalent experience/certifications Years Experience: 5+ years total experience on a technical operations teams maintaining a production environment.
