Analyze the current backup and storage configurations in detail including OS, SAN and back end storage arrays and tape infrastructure. 2.) Design and solution a large and complex backup and recovery environment (currently TSM) including leveraging the emerging backup and recovery technologies for faster service times and additional optimization. 3.) Provide solution to meet migration requirements for a large pool of legacy LTO-2 tape infrastructure leveraging new technologies for greater consolidation and optimization. 4.) Provision/Administer TSM backup and recovery environment. 5.) Provision/Administer storage on EMC, NetApp technologies including VMAX, VNX, VPLEX and FAS series HW. The position will be responsible to ensure that the objectives of the Platform Engineering team are met requiring deep technical knowledge and 7+ years of prior engineering experience in the following areas: • IBM TSM enterprise backup and recovery solution (VERITAS Netbackup, IBM TSM or EMC Networker, CommVault, EMC Avamar). • Integrated backup and recovery solutions for a large VMWare virtual infrastructure and VDI preferred. • Prior work experience of administration and management of EMC DataDomains. • Prior experience on TSM for VE (VMWare) And TSM For Mail (Exchange and Notes) is a strong plus. • Replication Design and Hands-on Implementation of EMC SRDF, RPA and VPLEX Metro for Block storage. As well as NetApp, EMC Data domain and Celarra NAS replication technologies for File based storage solutions • UNIX and Windows Volume Manager Configuration and Administration. • *Solid understanding of the EMC VMAX, VNX and VPLEX Block Storage Solutions is a plus. • Understanding of Brocade SAN Fabric is a plus. • VMware SRM Integration with EMC SRDF, RPA solutions is a plus. *- Deep understanding of HA and DR concepts as applied to major Infrastructure areas (Compute, Storage and Network) is a must. - Prior experience in designing secure cloud and virtualized environments is a plus. Collaborative responsibilities: - Coordination with Operations team for the design, build and production readiness of storage infrastructure solutions supporting mission critical Production environments. - Coordination with Architecture Services to ensure implementation of best practices for infrastructure governance, architecture, engineering, production support and service Management. Additional responsibilities: - Ensures consistent delivery of superior technical solutions. - Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative technical solutions and strategies. - Continually defines ways to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
