*Description* The Data Architect will be a member of the Data Readiness Team responsible for developing complex data migration and bridging specifications to move data between a legacy DB2 based application system to a SQL Server application system developed using a vendor supplied framework. Designing conceptual, logical and physical models for the target system is a critical component of the job. The Data Architect will spend the majority of their time working with Sprint teams and the User Stories they select and groom to develop the data models and migration specifications. Coordinating activities with the other members of the Data Readiness Team in the profiling and analysis of data are required to ensure the availability of clean data for migration and bridging *Knowledge & Experience* 7–10 years of related work experience. Expert level SQL skills, experience with SQL Server 2012 including SSIS and SQL Server Previous experience working on a large legacy system migration and conversion project is highly desirable. Hand-on experience with Embarcadero Data Architect. Hands-on experience with systems requirements gathering/analysis Management Studio. Experience with DB2 . Experience developing logical and physical data models for complex projects using both relational and other modeling techniques and approaches. Solid understanding of governance frameworks developed to resolve data ownership, sharing, and access rights. Experience developing Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) specifications and mappings to support data conversion and integration. Knowledge of enterprise architecture concepts and approaches. Experience in establishing methods and procedures for tracking data sources, data lineage, data quality, completeness, redundancy vs. replication, data dictionary, data models, metadata and master data. Experience with Agile, SCRUM and XP development methods. Demonstrated experience of software integration principles and practices. Experience with application development tools, including Microsoft Visual studio.
