*Company: Marathon Oil* *Title: Jr. SQL DBA* *Duration: 1 year with extensions* *H1, GC, and USC okay.* *Location: Houston, TX* Skills Required: - At least 3 years of database support experience. - Experience troubleshooting tier I and II SQL server and Oracle database support. - Previous experience working with limited supervision. - Willingness to work an on-call rotation schedule - Experience with database compliance standards, software features (procedures, triggers, views, and functions). - Understanding of data workflow, dynamic management views/functions, ERD and data dictionary. *Preferred* Bachelor's degree from a prestigious college. Client is seeking two resources to perform database administration support to a large oil and gas company in the Galleria area. These resources will perform tier I and II database tasks in an operational role. This is a ticket based role where they will monitor the ticket queue to either resolve tier I or II issues and escalate to senior database administrators as needed. They will be responsible for all change management by ensuring all requests are documented properly. In addition, they will troubleshoot client connectivity, applications and reports. This is an on-call rotation and shift work position so the candidates must be willing to work a flexible schedule.
