Please have a look the below job description and let me know your interest with your updated resume Only USC and GC Job Title: Linux System engineer Location: Austin TX Duration: FTE with Xavient Information System · Candidates for the Linux automation engineer position must have experience in *Linux automation technologies such as Puppet, Chef, Satellite, Spacewalk, Opsware, etc*. · Engineer will be part of a team that develops and executes infrastructure projects that automate Linux administration and software deployment tasks. · Understanding of Linux Security, Desired Configuration Management, Release Management, DevOps, and building of RPMs is needed as this position will be working with internal customers to deploy both custom and vendor based software to client’s environment. · These deployments will utilize tools such as GIT, Jenkins, Puppet, Spacewalk, etc. Knowledge of software deployment and release management is required. · Enterprise systems architecture analysis is a plus. · Clear and effective business and technology communications are needed, both to internal and external customers. Additional Job Details: · *Creation and editing of Puppet code, to support deployments*. Engineer will make sure all code written is to have test cases and built in metrics for performance. · Works with non-technical business owners to understand needs and in the development the code, test cases, and metrics. · Develops and manages systems integration projects. Identifies and resolves existing system deficiencies. Skills: · Experience in Linux automation technologies such as Puppet, Chef, Satellite, Spacewalk, Opsware, etc. · Experience with large enterprise systems requiring careful change control. · Willing to work flexible hours as part of support rotation. · Solid understanding of server virualization, provisioning tools, SAN storage, networking. Retail Distribution Center, Multi-Campus distributed system experience a plus. Programming experience a plus. Soft Skills Needed: · Committement to meeting objectives.
