Locations for the role: Norcross, GA Milwaukee, WI *Must Have Skills:* · Pearl Scripting · SAS Analytics 2-3 YOE · Unix platforms · Looking for maintenance 5-7 YOE in analytics *Job Description: JOB SUMMARY:* Experienced analytics technician provides implementation, tuning, and issue resolution for Unix/SAS based analytics application. While minor enhancements to existing code is a possibility, this is not a development role. Working knowledge of SAS analytics, Unix security, and KSh scripting are essential. This role provides primary technical support to operations and tier-1 client support under the guidance of a systems service delivery team. Provide support for data warehousing initiatives and monitor data warehousing system to ensure reliability and accuracy of information loaded into the databases. Analyze the logical and physical database models and ensure models are in accordance with standards. *GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:* · Generate and prepare reports to support business objectives. Perform analysis and testing of relational databases and investigate any data load failures or data retrieval issues. · Designs, develops and implements data mining tools and analysis to shift through large amounts of data stored in a data warehouse or data mart to find relationships and patterns. · Conduct analysis and design sessions with business as well as other technology teams. · Assist in identifying and prioritizing business information needs, and defining business benefit of data warehousing. · Provide advice and guidance on data warehousing approaches and solutions, and use of data warehousing methodology. · Responsible for supporting the architecture and design of the data warehouse, data marts and BI reports which will support various data initiatives. · Identify data warehousing issues and assist in their resolution. · Identifying process improvements and providing strategic direction. *EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:* Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university in Business, Information Technology or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. *GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:* • Facilitate discussions with data warehouse end-users to identify, understand, assess, prioritize, document and communicate requirements, risks, dependencies and potential roadblocks • Demonstrated experience trouble-shooting issues in DW • Good written/verbal communication skills • Analysis of source data systems, to identify and document complex data mapping, business rule analysis, functional and non- functional requirements • Ability to define detailed business rules for validating and transforming data for end-user reports • Ability to create, update and maintain project documentations such as: requirement specifications, functional design, data mapping, report specifications, etc. • Participate in the design of new data structures/dimensional models in all areas of the data warehouse *Additional Skills: * Senior level role. Highly-skilled with extensive proficiency. Handles situations which may require adaptation of response or extensive research. May require advanced problem solving. Plays a lead role in customer escalations. Coaches and shares information with professionals with less experience and/or expertise. Works under general supervision with some latitude for independent judgment. Typically requires seven or more years of experience as a Data Analyst with a minimum of five years of experience working on data warehouse projects.
