Please note that this role is a genuine intent to hire. *Post-Sales, Virtualization Solutions* *Solutions Architect (Requirements and Job Description)* The Solutions Architect, Virtualization Solutions, is responsible for designing and implementing solutions related virtualization technology, including automation and orchestration software. The Solutions Architect maintains knowledge across virtualization technology stacks and adjacent disciplines. opportunity for future business. *Technical Qualifications:* · Core VMWare skills with Solutions Architect level skills · Detailed knowledge of VMware vSphere · Minimum 7 years+ of total experience · Minimum 5 years’ VMware experience supporting large enterprise environments (50+ ESX hosts or multiple vCenters in multiple sites) · Consulting services · Preference for upgrading & installing enterprise level vSphere environments · Current VMware VCP certification · Experience maintaining vSphere environments · Skills with VMware Update Manager · Monitoring VMware upgrade and security information · VMware patches and upgrades · Strong knowledge of VMware SSO (Single Sign-On) across multiple versions of vSphere · Ability to articulate benefits of vSphere Enterprise Plus (i.e. Storage I/O Control, Network I/O Control, Host Profiles) · Strong implementation level skills · Experience implementing Distributed Virtual Switches · Architect Level Design Knowledge · Sizing, best practices, tools · Knowledge of VMware best practices (i.e. management cluster, N+1 HA, use of VUM or host profiles) · Knowledge of best practices for Physical to Virtual (P2V) migrations · Storage based skills (i.e. multi-pathing, NFS vs. SAN, free space) · Ability to scope services related to virtualization solutions · Working knowledge of the following products would be ideal: · vRealize Operations · vRealize Business · vRealize Automation · vRealize Orchestration · Prefer experience implementing any of the above technologies, especially vRealize Automation · Demonstrated experience with PowerCLI, including the ability to write scripts · Demonstrates willingness to be known as a SME on this environment. · Capability of being an advocate to blogs, conferences and related matters.. *General Qualifications:* · Comfortable operating in a fast paced environment that is constantly evolving and changing · Self-starter with the ability to complete tasks with little supervision · Travel flexibility. · Ability to create highly professional documentation both in the design process and after implementation · Ability to articulate complex IT solutions to technical and non-technical audiences · Ability to obtain and maintain vendor certifications · Please consider the following before applying · This role is not an administrative level slot.
