*Role : Hadoop Architect* *Location : Seattle, WA* *Duration : Long term* Candidate should have a strong background in software development and good business acumen. Candidate must have an excellent understanding of different software architectures, software development processes and software engineering practices. *Job Responsibilities:* • Accountable for rationalized requirements capture and accountable for overall solution design using open source big data technologies • Help define and prioritize product roadmap in collaboration with cross-functional groups including product management, business development and engineering teams • Define, own and evolve solution and technology architecture for big data eco-system • Provide thought leadership, strategy and lead innovation by exploring, investigating, recommending, benchmarking and implementing data centric technologies. • Collaborate with business users, PMs and other key supporting teams to estimate and plan work. • Report critical issues to management effectively, timely and with clarity. • Participate in the governance process of data management strategy / roadmap / execution plan *Qualifications and Experience:* • Experience & knowledge of Apache Spark, Storm, Hive, Pig is must Knowledge of Knox, node.js and Tableau is a plus • 12+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5 years of hands-on development experience • Experience in building large-scale systems using Java/J2EE eco-system of technologies such as Spring, Play, Hibernate, REST/SOA frameworks, ESB technologies etc • 2+ years of experience in enabling big data technologies including Hadoop eco system and Cassandra • Knowledge and experience in real-time processing and time-series data management is a strong plus • Experience & knowledge of Apache Mahout, R language, statistical modeling is a strong plus -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Citrix and Sap problems" group.
