The releases can be inclusive of application and platform updates, Projects and Programs. They will be responsible for implementing and managing release processes for the progression of code and infrastructure configuration changes in the development, test, and production environments. The Release Manager Job function works collaboratively with all participants in software development projects and is supportive of developers and testers as they set up their builds for dev/test/prod environments. This position also works with IT management to improve the software engineering processes and practices associated with continuously building, deploying, and updating software. *KEY JOB DUTIES:* · Develop scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms · Produce Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans · Oversee maintenance and integrity of source code library · Work with multiple development teams to ensure use of best practices in source code branching, merges and versioning · Align application updates with a focus on minimizing risk and downtime to customers of the application. · Maintain the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across internal business and clients. · Continually work towards making improvements in the release process · Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists. · Maintain a release repository and manage key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists · Demonstrate verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively interact with global teams · Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations · Negotiate, plan and manage all release activities · Work within time constraints to meet project deadlines · Other duties may be assigned as the above is representative, but not all-inclusive of the required duties of this position *JOB REQUIREMENTS:* · 3+ years of previous software release experience with a solid understanding of production release considerations · 3+ years of source control management experience using industry toolsets – ClearCase a plus · Preferred 2+ years of experience using an integration scripting tool for Java and .Net · 4+ years of experience in information systems operations environment in systems analysis or development · Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle · Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to communicate at all levels · Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion · General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office expert level knowledge of Excel · Strong organizational and project management skills *MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:* · BS in Computer Science with 3+ years of related experience or 5+ years of related experience · 4+ years of experience with the Oracle Java and/or Microsoft .Net Technology Stack · English: Fluent *Thanks and Regards* James | Talent Acquisition - Manager | V.L.S Systems Inc.
