*JOB TITLE ETL DEVELOPER*
- The ideal candidate will have a mix of engineering, data modeling,
data analyst, ETL, and data warehouse skills and will be expected to take
ownership of all of Client’s ETL processes.
*RESPONSIBILITIES:*
- Determine requirements, design, architect, build and maintain an
enterprise ready ETL framework for Client’s new Business Intelligence and
Analytics Platform.
- Employ best practices in data quality, data security, disaster
recovery, optimization & performance of the new
ETL framework.
- Quickly identify and resolve ETL & data warehouse performance
&csecurity issues.
- Design and build a monitoring solution for the new ETL framework
tocensure health and optimal performance.
- Lead innovation by exploring, investigating, recommending,
benchmarking and implementing data-centric technologies for the platform.
*SKILLS AND ABILITIES:*
- Demonstrable experience in ETL / ELT best practices in design and
development methodologies.
- Demonstrable experience with various data repository technologies,
including relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL/MySQL), NoSQL technologies
(MapReduce/Hadoop.) and graph databases (Neo4j, Stardog).
- Expert knowledge of SQL. Ability to work with a variety of teams and
clients, mentor junior resources, and effectively handle multiple
tasks/deadlines with success.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills – documenting all ETL
processes is essential.
- Knowledge of technologies under BI umbrella: data mining, business
analytics, operational analytics, text analytics & data services.
*QUALIFICATIONS:*
- 5+ years of experience in the Business Intelligence field including
data design, data modeling, data integration, database architecture and
report creation.
- Demonstrable experience designing and developing complex ETL
processes.Previous experience with ETL tools such as Informatica,
DataStage, Pentaho PDI.
- Demonstrable experience using or supporting BI platforms such as
Pentaho Business Analytics.
- Experience with Big Data tools like Hadoop, Hbase, CouchDD, etc.
- Excellent problem solving skills. Bachelor’s degree in Computer
Science or related field.
