*Greetings from VLS Systems..!* Below is the requirement with our client and kindly review the details as below and if you feel interested in the job position please send me a copy of your updated resume along with your details.. *Job Title : WebFocus Developer* *Location : Dubuque, IA* *Duration : 6+ Months* *WebFOCUS report developer* · Must have skills/experience using *Dev Studio* (preferably on WF version 8.0) · Preferable skills using *InfoAssist* (charts & graphing) · At this time, any additional WebFOCUS experience (i.e. managing security, Change Management, etc.) would only be considered an asset for a potential FTE placement. *Job responsibilities are fulfilling report build project requests, which fails into two stages:* 1. Developing a flat file export (full-line-of site) of the applicable records to be validated for accuracy Joins, holds & virtual field usage will be a part of almost every project Export usually in Excel to allow subject matter expert to examine/critique 2. Setting aesthetics & delivery Applying Subtotals, Subfooters, Re-computes, desired data field placement, some charting Creating a report schedule *And/or* Building a WebFOCUS HTML portal interface *Additional information a qualified applicant might want to know:* Client doesn’t have a data mart or warehouse. Most projects utilize data stored in applications and SQL tables. The metadata will already be available, but the table joining and data record cleansing (filters) will be part of the report file. Most project’s build/business rules are defined prior to a project start, but often need tweaks once the initial development produces the flat file. Work would be will performed within the Graphic User Interfaces (GUI) WebFOCUS offers. Client is not looking for ‘creative code solutions’ that are supported without internal/tribal knowledge. Most projects are straight forward, but time consuming. The average turn-around time per project is 2 - 5 hours; we carry a load ranging from 5-15 projects per month. The majority of development is making ensuring the data query is pull all and only the correct information. *POSITION SUMMARY: *The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible to provide value-added development and maintenance to client’s Business Intelligence [BI] application to support reporting and data management requests. This includes report design and development, product maintenance support, documentation and analysis. Creative problem solving skills required to anticipate, identify, research, and resolve project impacting issues. *II. PRIMARY & ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: * · Development of core and custom reporting using WebFOCUS for layout and distribution · Provide a critical eye on aesthetic and function of products, suggest and implement design improvements · Work with Data Architect and Database Administrator to support audits, debug errors, maintain security, and scope projects. · Maintain up-to-date documentation against products and process reporting · Applying creative problem solving skills and high quality standards during development & implementation phases of projects to ensure success. · Research new reporting techniques and "push the envelope" to provide the most innovative and optimized reporting possible. · Primary report development to be done using WebFOCUS.
