*Job Title**: Sr. Oracle DBA* *Duration: 6 month(s) Location: Irving, TX* *Job Description* • This Sr. DBA will report under Product Solutions Enterprise Data Business Insights. • He/she will work with the data governance and application development teams to ensure highly performing database platforms are maintained and promoted throughout the environment and that all incoming and ongoing projects that utilize database technology conform to the enterprise data model and meet standards for accuracy, consistency, and reliability. • Design, create, implement, and support databases to meet project and system design requirements • Ability to implement complex changes to existing databases • Ability to prepare a conceptual data model based on user requirements • Serve as a communications liaison between the business Customer and the technology development and support groups • Participate and lead discussions on logical and physical data modeling with business and technical teams in support of the enterprise data model; maintenance of enterprise data model through extension and customization • Engage with software quality teams and other organizations to ensure that quality standards are met • Partner with appropriate infrastructure team regarding logical to physical database design to ensure high scalability and availability • Assist business analysts, developers, and related organizations to understand and use an agreed formal model, the concepts of the organization and how they relate to one another • Assisting the DBA team with analysis and troubleshooting, fine tuning the application and identifying performance improvement opportunities • Required Skills (include education, proficiency level and/or minimum # of years of experience, tools, software applications, etc. Please list in order of most to least importance): • 4 year college degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent education preferred. • 10+ years of experience in a development DBA role, analyzing and executing medium/large tiered Enterprise Database/Data Mart projects. • 6+ years of experience with Oracle 9i or higher • 6+ years SQL Plus • 5+ years database modeling/design • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. • Must be proficient with ANSI standard SQL and be able to troubleshoot and tune SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, indexes, functions, and be able to identify and resolve performance issues • Must be proficient with the prevalent Data Architecture/Design principles in this field and have the ability to clearly understand logical and physical data modeling techniques and optimize them for the project requirements. • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex issues in a structured and concise manner. • ADDITIONAL SKILLS: • Must have the ability to assume a high level of responsibility and to work independently in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment. • Must have the ability to properly manage highly sensitive and confidential information. • Must have the ability to contend with the range and complexity of large business problems. • Must have the ability to plan and support large business initiatives. • Must have the ability to partner and work effectively with multiple levels of management to develop and implement Company plans. • Must be proficient in developing and delivering presentations to medium-to-large audiences including senior leadership. • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, ppt, etc) • Preferred Skills (skills that would be beneficial but are not required): • 5-8 years design, configuration, and implementation of database security • 3-6 years Linux and/or Unix shell scripting • 1-2 years with experience in big data technologies (Hadoop) and / or In-Memory database/analytic technologies • Experience with implementing Enterprise Data Warehouse processes, governance, and technologies • Experience with implementing Meta Data Management processes and tools • Experience with implementing Data Quality processes, governance and tools • Experience with using and applying the Agile development methodology • Functional and QA testing experience preferred • Data Analysis aka 'Data Archaeology’ experience preferred • Experience in implementing enterprise data program a plus • Ability to coach or mentor co-workers Acha Ayyappa Sr. Technical Recruiter CODEFORCE 360 ERP & IT Services | Consulting | Development | Staffing Desk: (770) 410-7770: 375 || Email: [email protected] <[email protected]> || Gmail: [email protected] ------------------------------------------------------------------ *Fax: *(770) - 410 - 7737 || www.codeforce.com <http://www.its-incorp.com/> ------------------------------------------------------------------ -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Citrix and Sap problems" group.
