This position will lead the continuous improvement process in our Warehouse
and Logistics operations. This position is responsible for delivering
process engineering capabilities to our Distribution Center operations and
provides fundamentally sound engineering solutions within and across all
functional areas of the Distribution Center footprint.
Working collaboratively with leadership to drive continuous improvement,
improve customer satisfaction, reduce waste, increase efficiencies,
decrease costs, reduce errors/defects and eliminate variation in
distribution / cross dock processes.
Provide strong industrial engineering rigor through collaborating with
operational associates to identify process improvement opportunities and
align solutions to operational requirements.

• Lead cross-functional projects designed to analyze and design sequence of
operations and work flows to improve efficiencies in the distribution
center facilities and equipment layouts; and establishes methods for
maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel:
• Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory
control, and production record systems.
• Develop and implement plans and programs for facility modifications and
revisions to operating methods
• Interfacing with other departments to identify improvement opportunities
to drive high quality and efficient processes
• Lead cost reduction by analyzing product handling, storage, and
distribution systems and practices to increase efficiency and reduce waste,
utilize and drive employee productivity, expense cost reduction, finished
product damage reduction, enabler program support, kaizen event
facilitation, work measurement studies, etc.
• Develop and refine KPI reporting and communication
• Work with Sr. Leadership and be involved in capital project
justification, budgeting and standards setting
• Perform economic analysis studies to support decision making.
• Keep abreast of current technology, labor standards, and distribution
improvements
• Assist in driving culture change as appropriate
• Participate on multiple projects and apply continuous improvement
techniques leveraging Six Sigma and Lean methodologies to solve problems
(DMAIC) and build new capabilities (DMADV).
• Work with Sr. Leadership and be involved in capital project
justification, budgeting and standards setting
• Perform economic analysis studies to support decision making.
• Keep abreast of current technology, labor standards, and service
improvements
• Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires
evaluation of identifiable factors
