Role: IT Business Analyst
Duration: 6 months Contract (With no extension)
Location: Atlanta, GA
Cable domain is must !!
This person must have solid consulting BA skills, interviewing and
collecting requirements from stakeholders, translating and documenting them
into clear requirement specifications.

Candidate should be involved in “gathering requirements from non-IT
people, translating those for Development teams, solid understanding of the
BA process, managing requirements, BA processes and plans.”

Also should have some level of PM expertise/experience.

Candidates with IIBA professional memberships and verified
certifications, would be ideal.

ICOMS experience is nice to have but not a requirement for the role.
This role will consist of:
• Formulating and defining systems scope and objectives for
complex, high impact BSS solutions impacting major network upgrades,
systems upgrades, and new product launches for the MSO through in-depth
evaluation of complex business processes, systems, and industry
standards.
• Consulting with internal (and external) client stakeholders to
determine system business and functional specifications and high level
design.
• Partnering with multiple teams to ensure appropriate
integration of functions to meet goals; identify and define necessary
system enhancements, to deploy new products, process, system enhancements,
and upgrades.
• Providing direction and technical leadership; acts as a
technical resource in all phases of the development process.
• Evaluating new IT/BSS developments and evolving business
requirements and recommends appropriate systems alternatives and/or
enhancements to current systems.
• Considering the business implications of the application of
technology to the current business environment; identifies and communicates
risks and impacts; proposes risk mitigation options.
• Providing expertise in area and advanced level of
understanding of the principles of IT business analysis.
• The incumbent must possess a comprehensive understanding of
how own area and others (i.e., architecture or infrastructure) collectively
integrate to contribute towards achieving business objectives.
• Providing an in-depth and sophisticated analysis with
interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
• Influencing strategic functional decisions through advice,
counsel, or provided services which directly impact the business.
• Persuading and influencing others through strong and
comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills.
• Serving as a liaison between the internal business community
and IT to illicit and document business requirements.
The incumbent should possess the following skills:
• BA/BS or equivalent experience.
• 2-5 years hands on experience leading business and functional
requirements sessions, including managing issue lists and meeting minutes.
• 2-5 years hands on experience creating current and future
state business process models (including swim lanes).
• 2-5 years created use case diagrams.
• 2-5 years creating traceability matrices from test
plant>functional>business requirements.
• Experience in the cable industry, with an emphasis on
telephony ICOMS BSS integration’s into an OSS for major outside plant
upgrades. IMS preferred.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong collaboration, relationship building, and networking
skills.
• Aptitude to work as a team and independently with minimal
direction is a fast-paced, changing environment – excellent prioritization
skills a must.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, and projects, and meet
assigned deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Must be
able to effectively communicate with management and employees across
business units.
• Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced SharePoint (user, not developer)
Project, Visio and Excel. Advanced Word and Outlook.
• 2-5 years hands on experience with Rumba.
• 2-5 years data analysis a huge plus.
• Some project management experience a plus.
• CCBA, CBAP, or working toward, certification a huge plus
