This position will be responsible for developing robust, high volume production applications. You will be working on high profile, real world customer facing applications, as well as developing services for cutting edge mobile and tablet devices. In addition there will be responsibilities for writing server side code for web services. *Required:* - BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience - 6+ years hand-on experience with Java based data driven web application development - Solid Java 1.6+ and J2EE background (servlet, JDBC), strong OO skills preferred - Solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design - Strong experience with multi-threaded and highly scalable server-side development - Understanding of web optimization techniques (server/client side caching, compression, distributed caching, etc.) - Deep understanding of SOA and web service concepts - Experience with Java Server Frameworks (Spring 3 Core/MVC/AOP) and Java Persistence Frameworks (Hibernate) - Solid understanding of web data formats (XML, JSON) - Background in security and encryption (RSA, MD5, etc.) *Desired:* - Coding skills in Javascript, SQL, and knowledge of HTTP, TCP/IP and network programming is a plus - Experience working in a Scrum/Agile environment preferred - Experience with unit test (Junit) is preferred, and understanding of TTD concepts is a plus - Experience with Cloud, NoSQL, and Distributed Caching is a plus The ideal candidate for this position will possess the ability to comprehend detailed project specifications as well as the ability to adapt to various technologies and frameworks.
