· *Key Responsibilities* · Lead a team of designers to create elegant and useful interfaces that make an emotional connection with a broad consumer base. · Involved in scoping time and effort involved in design projects and making sure quality solutions are delivered on time and within budget. · Manage multiple projects and ensure that all designs are interpreted and implemented as specified and meet all business requirements. · Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively. Distill complex interactions into clear, understandable design solutions and clearly rationalize your strategic thinking to stakeholders. · Communicate your ideas through sketches, mock-ups and storyboards, producing iterative designs for every surface. · Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide art direction to designers and work with product managers and engineers to implement designs into technology. · Create end-to-end design experiences, interaction models and design systems that define the Audible experience across platforms (web and mobile). · Establish and execute a consistent visual design language and maintain the Audible aesthetics, standards and brand integrity. · Provide guidance and mentorship to your direct reports to help them develop and reach their goals. · *Requirements:* *Skills/Experience Requirements* · 5+ years of experience in interactive design, visual design or user interface design at a high-level, within a product or agency setting. · Fluency in best practices for mobile and web-based design, as well as strong knowledge of information architecture. · Excellent interpersonal skills and presentation skills. Communicate clearly and effectively, and defend your team’s designs. · Stay current with latest design and technology trends across web and mobile platforms, and adopt modern techniques as appropriate. · Exceptional typography skills, attention to details and visual form. · Mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with After Effects and prototyping tools is a plus. · Bachelor’s degree or higher in Design or Visual Communications required. · A positive attitude that inspires and motivates everyone around you. *Preferred Qualifications* · Be a self-starter who is a customer-obsessed, detail-oriented, and an enthusiastic team player. · Familiarity with the technical considerations required when designing for multiple devices (i.e. HTML, CSS and JavaScript) Have at least three apps for recognizable brands in market (available for download in iTunes and/or Google Play).
