Please include your employer details as well. *Job Title* UAT Tester *Project Location* Hopkinton, MA *Duration* 6 months /Contract *Skills Required and Job Description:* *MOI-Telephonic+Face to Face* *NEED USC and GC Only* Use case scenarios will be provided and the UA Test Engineer will follow a scripted test process to create, compare and analyze the resulting configurations. Comparisons will be made between an existing production quote tool and the test environment of the future quote tool to discover errors, bugs and quote anomalies. A “bug tool” will be used to log system bugs and communicate the bugs to the software development team who will triage and fix the discovered bugs. The candidate will join a small, dynamic team working closely with Sales Operations, Product Management and the Configurator development team to review and discuss testing progress and status. The ideal candidate will have excellent computer skills with experience using *MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Lync and WebEx.* The candidate should have a passion for technology and be extremely detail oriented with an ability to discover errors or differences and succinctly articulate them. A true self starter, this individual will require little guidance and oversight. Goals and targets will be established and direction provided while the candidate completes their daily checklist of activities knocking down barriers and obstacles to achieve success. The ideal candidate will be a good communicator in both a written and verbal format. The candidate must enjoy working independently while also collaborating with a larger team on business critical issues. *PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* The primary role of this position is that of a tester. The individual will be responsible for creating pre-determined “Quote Configurations” in two quote tool environments and comparing the results to ensure configuration accuracy and equivalency between the two systems. Primary duties will be to create configurations, analyze results and report the success and/or failure rate of each test case. This will include reporting via web based tools, email, phone calls and in person meetings. *Summary:* As a UA Test Engineer, the candidate will learn about Sales Operations, data storage quoting best practices, and the new quote tool built on the SAP platform. The person in this role will become the quote tool configurator expert and will aid in the process to train and support Sales Operations teammates who will have SME responsibilities. The role is ideal for a self-starter and someone who learns quickly. Over the course of the project, the candidate will have the opportunity to develop many different competencies. The ideal candidate will be good at working with a dispersed global team while developing their technical skills relating to quote tool configurations, and how to work professionally in a large global corporation. *Essential Knowledge/Skills:* • Background of excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills. • Ability to clearly communicate system test results. • Demonstrated ability to analyze information and draw accurate conclusions. • Proven record of learning new systems, processes and procedures quickly • Strong troubleshooting skills relating to computers system logic as well as software User Experience *• Some familiarity with quoting * • Bachelor’s degree helpful but not required • Excellent problem solving skills • Ability to work independently • Excellent communication skills • Ability to multi-task • Ability to work in a team environment • Ability to be detail oriented and stay focused over a long period of time • Ability to analyze information and draw accurate conclusions. • Strong technical aptitude.
