We currently have a developer position available on the ELMS Development
and Support Team. The ELMS Developer is responsible for executing in all
facets of the systems development lifecycle (design, development,
implementation, and rollout) for the Engineered Labor Management System.
The ELMS Developer performs many of these tasks independently and
communicates with the appropriate teams to ensure that assignments are
delivered with the highest of quality and in accordance to standards. The
ELMS Developer will complete coding assignments required to meet evolving
technical and functional needs of the Corporate, Divisional, and Store
associate customer bases.



Tools and technologies currently in use include:
• Java, J2EE, Stripes, Struts, Hibernate, JDBC, Spring, JUnit, Eclipse,
Maven
• J2EE, JBoss, WebSphere
• SQL, DB2, JIRA, Infra



*Essential Job Functions:*

·         A strong working knowledge of Java development, and a working
knowledge of web based delivery techniques and technologies.

·         Knowledge of JBOSS and/or Websphere

·         Familiarity with Eclipse or a comparable IDE.

·         Team oriented, yet able to self-motivate and direct.

·         Capable of problem identification and resolution.

·         Must be comfortable providing support and maintaining code
written by others.

·         Complete estimates and work plans with the assistance of more
senior team members as appropriate for design, development, implementation
and rollout tasks.

·         Create technical system documentation and ensure that this
documentation remains current throughout all phases of the SDLC.

·         Support and maintain applications utilizing required tools and
technologies.  Provide support for applications, including involvement with
the Support Center, NOC, Infrastructure teams, and vendors as appropriate.
Provide off-hours support (24 x 7) as a member of an on-call support
rotation.

·         May assist other personnel on assignments including mentoring or
providing on-the-job training to more junior or less experienced
associates.



*Minimum Requirements:*

·         1 – 3 years of direct Java development experience.

·         1 – 3 years of Relational Database design and implementation.

·         Experience working with Linux and/or Unix environments. Working
knowledge of shell scripting a strong plus.

·         Must have a solid understanding of Object Oriented Programing
concepts.

·         Ability to follow the programming standards, procedures and
policies defined.

·         Ability to perform programming debugging, data analysis and
system analysis.

·         Prior experience with project planning with small to medium
complexity projects.



*Desired Skills:*

·         *Experience in retail, ordering, and / or inventory management is
a plus*

·         Core understanding of Object-Oriented design

·         High level problem solving skills

·         Strong computer science background/degree
