*Position: Senior Oracle DBA* *Location: Lansing, MI* *Duration: 12 Months* * GC’s and USC Only* *Skills Required Skills*: *Experience with Oracle Spatial *Provide support for growing Oracle Spatial needs, including installation, tuning and trouble shooting *Assist in the implementation of Oracle Statewide Standards *Experience with Oracle 11g , 12c *Working knowledge of DDL, DML, PL/SQL, stored procedures, triggers, views, constraints and cursors *Proficiency with Oracle performance tuning *Proficiency with database backup and recovery using Oracle RMAN….. *Ability to analyze and design physical databases and their definitions *Experience with disaster recovery planning and testing *Experience with installation, configuration and upgrades of vendor-supplied software, including contacting vendor on enhancements and problems. *Strong problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities *Excellent written/verbal communication and documentation skills *Able to work independently and deliver high quality results when given a set of requirements *Experience with Oracle on Solaris *Skills Preferred Skills*: *Experience managing databases up to 10+ TB *Knowledge of Shell Scripting *Knowledge of EMC and NetApp SAN hardware *Knowledge/Experience with database appliances *data guard, compression, backup tools. Experience Required Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or Computer Systems Engineering; or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field appropriate for the assignment plus five years of experience. *1+ years’ experience with spatial models and algorithms *2-4 years Oracle Spatial programming experience *3-7 years Oracle SQL and PL/SQL programming experience Experience Preferred 3 years of professional experience equivalent to an Information technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst P11. Education Required Possession of a bachelor's degree with 21 semester (32 term) credits in computer science, data processing, computer information, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, or mathematics. *Education Preferred * Additional Information US Citizenship is REQUIRED.
