part of this engagement the Requesting Manager will monitor the engineer
during the performance period in the following areas:

·         Depth of knowledge

·         Interpersonal and communication skills

·         Experience, qualifications, and ability to meet the needs of this
engagement



*Monitoring and Reporting Expectations: *



*The engineer will submit a weekly status report to the Hiring Manager that
will include the following: *



·         Hours and work performed per day

·         Accomplishments and how they aligned to your past week’s plan

·         Status of assigned deliverables and milestones

·         Issues or constraints

·         Planned activities for following period

*3 Duration of Engagement*



*Location of Work*: Information Services Department

*Days of work, hours and shift*: Typically Mon-Fri 8 am to 5 pm.

Flexibility in work schedule may be needed depending upon project
requirements.



*Job Description*



seeking a Systems Software Engineer to help manage our IT Infrastructure
Windows and VM environments. In this role as the Systems Software Engineer,
you should have the ability to accomplish the following:



·         Solve complex systems problems from minimal diagnostic information

·         Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

·         Understand highly complex information technology systems and
issues

·         Integrate information technology systems

·         Recognize problems, develop recommendations and solutions, and
oversee corrections within specialty;

·         Provide technical guidance and assistance to users, customers,
and team members

·         Provide technical recommendations to management and System
Software Engineers

·         Promote and maintain team environment

·         Establish and maintain effective working relationships with
managers, internal support units,

·         and customers.

*Skills and experience required;*



·         Three (3) – Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience
in system analysis engineering and administration on x86 platform and
Windows operating systems.

·         Having good understanding and knowledge on Windows server
administration 2003,2008 and 2012

·         Performance monitoring of servers and handling OS related issues
and configuration on Windows server 2008

and 2012

·         Escalating issues to appropriate vendors, opening cases and
identifying the RCA and LTF

·         Installation configuration, troubleshooting of Windows servers
and Vmware

·         Responsible for server builds, patch management, antivirus and
patch updates on the server

·         Experience and knowledge with designing installing and
implementing VMware ESX server, VMware virtual

center, setting up V-Motion, HA, DRS.

·         Hands on experience in updating / upgrading ESX servers, Virtual
Center servers And windows virtual machines

using VMware Update manager and manual upgrades

·         Migration of VM’s P2V and V2V

·         Knowledge on Raid technologies and working experience in
implementing RAID on servers

·         Work experience to configure and troubleshoot issues related to
Windows Cluster server

·         Knowledge on Group Policies, Event log monitoring, scripting is
needed on this server

·         Incident management, Problem management and Change management

·         Knowledge on ServiceDesk or Ticketing solution

·         Firmware and hardware upgrades on ESX and physical hardware
