Title: Senior UI/.NET Developer Location : St. Paul, MN
Duration: Long term Software Engineer In need of a strong software engineer to support a key program. The SelfCheck QuickConnect Interface is a kiosk application for public libraries to support patron self-checkout of library materials. This key role is responsible for the timely delivery of the system, as well as participation in creating the product's specifications and delivery schedule. Seeking a motivated, up and coming leader with excellent people, project-management and development skills, with the desire to create a product that exceeds customer demands and helps achieve business goals. Responsibilities: • Substantially contribute to the development efforts for a product through the entire software development lifecycle - including the User Interface, development and QA. • Exercise judgment within generally defined best practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for providing solutions. • Troubleshoot, debug, and sustain product through lifecycle. Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience: • Self motivated, able to work with little supervision • Strong drive for quality along with excellent written and verbal communication skills is required • Minimum 5-7 years work experience in the industry • Experience with Microsoft development products (ASP.NET MVC - proficient , WPF - competent, WCF - competent) • Understanding of web technologies (HTML 5 - proficient, JQuery - proficient, JQuery Mobile - proficient, Bookstrap - competent, knockout - competent) • Understands advanced software engineering concepts and techniques: SOLID and design patterns (e.g. IoC). • Demonstrated experience with Device Integration (COM Port) • Experience with WIX or InstallShield a plus • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and solve problems with complex systems. • Demonstrated ability to manage timelines and scope to ensure timely project completion. • Familiarity with Agile development practice helpful, but not required. • BS CS or equivalent experience.
