*Duration: 3-6 Months* *Job Description:* *Responsible for object and structure design for reporting database based on information in Baxter’s TrackWise platform and deliver the conceptual and logical data models. Engages in requirements analysis to provide designs in alignment with standard approach. Provides status reporting, logging of activities, and documentation deliverables in alignment with project standards and schedule commitments. Provides input for database programming and design knowledge transfer. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties of this role are to participate in requirements gathering, and analyze informational requirements to propose design solutions for reporting database structures. In performing this role, it is expected that knowledge of data and object modeling, DBMS systems, and development tools and languages will be applied to formulate the overall design for a reporting solution, primarily for data from within a TrackWise 8 platform. Key essential duties for this role are as follows: 1) Engage with Business Process Experts and Business Analysts to understand information requirements 2) Analyze information requirements to recommend design approaches for ETL and conceptual, logical and physical database model optimized for analytical reporting 3) Document detailed specifications for database solution 4) Apply problem-solving, data analysis, and database structure knowledge to assist Development team in database programming and troubleshooting 5) Communicate status, solutions, and concerns. Disseminate information in a timely manner within the team. Establish and maintain relationships within technical team and business to understand their needs. 6) Provide knowledge transfer of design to the Development team. Qualifications: Excellent understanding of RDBMS and DW concepts and design approaches for analytical reporting. Excellent at problem solving with a strong attention to detail and ability to recognize logical patterns for design formulation. Good understanding of Quality Management System business concepts. Experience in all stages of systems development and support in a regulated environment. Strong team player, willing and able to support other team members as needed to achieve project goals. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Resource must have knowledge of the following: Experience with data analysis and data modeling for analytical reporting solutions Experience with SQL and PL/SQL Experience with creating database structures and scripting for Oracle databases (Oracle 11 preferred) Experience with ETL design and implementation preferred Experience with Oracle Golden Gate preferred Understanding of Crystal Reports and Cognos reporting tools preferred Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred or relevant work experience. 5+ years of systems experience and 3 years minimum experience with database development and data modeling. Experience in working with quality management systems in a regulated environment preferred.
