Must-Haves:
Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in database design
and administration with Oracle 10g, 11g and 12
At least 5 years of strong RAC experience (candidates who only have single
instance experience will not be good fits)
Solid performance tuning background using Oracle OEM grid control and tools
Oracle clustering experience
Previous experience working in a Linux or Solaris environment (candidates
that solely come from a Windows environment will not work well in this
group)

Plusses
Prior experience decommissioning servers
Sybase 15 DBA experience
Experience with ASM/CRS on Oracle 10g and 11g
Experience working with Oracle Dataguard
Oracle OEM replication experience using Oracle streams and Quest Shareplex
RMAN backup experience with Oracle 10g and 11g

Day-to-Day
This team supports Oracle RAC from development through product
implementation. The candidate will be responsible for debugging production
issues, managing day-to-day support requests, conducting quarterly patches,
etc. He/she will also be involved in an auditing project of all of the
clients’ servers to ensure that everything is compliant with the
organization’s standards and handling the analysis and reporting.

This individual will provide the highest technical expertise for the
planning, analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, performance tuning
and control of the organization's server-class databases. Handles and leads
the most complex or critical data/ database management initiatives that
typically involve multiple disciplines and multiple business groups,
including responsibility for database architecture, design, integration,
and/or data modeling. As the recognized technical expert, consults
extensively with multiple client groups to provide strategic solutions,
influencing long-range internal and enterprise level data/ database
architecture and management strategies. Serves as a consultant on
technological advancements. Provides oversight, mentoring and leadership to
less experienced staff. May represent the organization as an external
spokesperson.
