*Position Summary*
Immediate opening for a contract *Senior JDE Finance Systems Analyst* for a
Minneapolis area company!
The Senior JDE Finance Systems Analyst is needed due to an acquisition/sale
that is increasing the workload for the current team. This role is
responsible for leading, improving, documenting, *troubleshooting* and
supporting (in partnership with the IT function) global Finance as dictated
by corporate needs. This position will also be responsible for providing
insight on related output and business processes such as *planning* and
*forecasting*. Analysis activities included are certain reporting and
report development, business hierarchy improvements and maintenance, *business
metrics *and *dashboards *along with analysis of related variances.
The position will also lead or participate with teams on projects that
require system and/or process solutions that have financial system
repercussions. It is a 5+ month contract role.
*Position Duties and Responsibilities*
- Provide support to the *Finance Department* through bridging system
functionality with process and operating needs.
- Partner with the *IT Department *to understand system issues and *gaps*,
and facilitate on-going functionality and improvements.
- Identifies gaps between current business processes and future
processes which have evolved due to business growth, organizational
changes, and *corporate structure*. Works to implement solution to
those gaps identified.
- Leads the implementation of recommended improvements and communicates
project status – using project management tools as necessary.
- Designs, creates, prioritizes, tests, and documents new queries and
reports to support financial reporting requirements and miscellaneous
requests for financial information. Documentation is prepared in a manner
that can be handed off to other teams.
- Trains or assists in training of those affected by the changes made.
- Ensures compliance with established internal *controls, security
matrices*, and segregation of duties to meet *Sarbanes-Oxley*
requirements.
- Periodically review past business development projects for reporting
progress against stated goals.
- Act as a liaison between Finance, IT and business departments.
*Position Qualifications*
*Education:*
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
*Experience: *
- 5+ years Business Analysis or Systems Analyst experience
- 10+ year’s professional experience (ideally finance/accounting
experience)
- Experience with *budgeting/forecasting tools* – support, design, and
implementation experiences preferred.
- *JD Edwards Enterprise One (finance modules*) *software experience*
required
- *Cognos* strongly preferred.
*Skills:*
- Familiar with a variety of business concepts, practices, and
procedures. These include – but are not limited to – Finance, Accounting,
and IT.
- Working knowledge of *JDE ERP* systems and processes.
- Exposure to business process design and/or implementation. Either from
leading or being part of a project team implementing new business
processes, or as a business person affected by implementation of new
business processes.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to
communicate with both technical & non-technical staff and functional
process owners and subject matter experts.
