Please go through the job description and send me your resume if you are interested so that I can arrange a call with our EVP and VP.* *Position: Technical / Data Analyst with ETL solution experience in Financial Services * *Location: New York (midtown Manhattan)* *Duration: 12 Months + * In this position we are looking for a 5-10 year experienced consultant with capital markets / securities industry experience. This project involves equities settlements and will require a good understanding of finance and will involve developing an accounting rules engine. The consulting position will be within the Corporate Technology team and primarily responsible for business analysis, data analysis and technical specifications work as assigned by the solution architect and development manager. Must be comfortable working within a team and interacting with business and IT staff to support the development efforts for this critical equities settlement system replacement project. Familiarity with front office trading platforms, equities settlement systems, accounting rules engines and general ledgers is a plus. As a Technical Analyst, you will communicate and engage with accounting staff to develop a strong understanding of the rules that must be developed to properly process and reconcile the trades to the general ledger. You will work with various teams to define requirements for projects, identify data dependencies and relationships to develop ETL approaches, create data flow and system activity diagrams, and write specifications for producing accounting entries and reconciliation reports. *Additionally, you will:* • Serve as a subject matter expert in data mapping and resulting ETL development, • Provide analysis of user needs • Utilize SQL skills to develop ad hoc data requests to identify and validate data sources • Work within the existing project governance structure and security policies / best practices • Support QA testing and UAT activities with business and technology users of the data integration, accounting rules engine and reconciliation reports • Solve complex data-related problems using a variety of technical and analytical skills • Balance multiple tasks and competing deadlines. *Qualifications:* · More than 5 years of experience with data driven technology solutions utilizing Informatica ETL or similar. · Bachelor’s degree · Strong understanding of data mapping and data management initiatives · Demonstrated ability to complete projects on time and on budget · Experience in the capital markets / securities industry with knowledge of its terminology and equities products · Strong ability to communicate with developers and architects and non-technical end users · Ability to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications · Expertise understanding and writing SQL *Skills* · 3-5 years of experience working on projects for financial institution; strong proficiency in data driven solutions and/or ETL; strong proficiency in securities industry specifically equities products.
