LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA DURATION: 3 MONTHS WITH EXTENSIONS (MOST OF THE CONTRACTS EXTEND FOR A YEAR PLUS) INDUSTRY: HIGH TECH SOFTWARE INTERVIEW PROCESS: WEBCAM TO HIRE Key skills: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience - Must have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in SAP - At least 4 years of experience in SAP BW 7.0 and above - At least 2 years of experience with SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise platform 4.0 and above - At least 2 years of experience with ABAP - SAP BW and/or SAP BusinessObjects certified professional preferred Plays crucial role in partnering with development managers to implement new initiatives within their team and department. Responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining SAP BW solutions. Designs, implements, troubleshoots, and documents all assigned areas of responsibility within SAP BW and BusinessObjects. Responsible for contributing to the development of and assuring team adherence to the architectural standards of the department and for overcoming technical challenges. Effectively communicate with other development team members and demonstrate the ability to deliver quality results in a timely fashion. Primary Duties / Responsibilities - Provide technical leadership in the development and support of Citrix’s SAP systems especially BW - Independently develop formal recommendations and present proposals to leadership team. - Apply thorough understanding of processes, according to area of development, to the data requirements, automated business solutions, and integration issues. - Contribute to defining and enhancing application development standards. Identify new technologies that can be incorporated to improve the performance / usability and define implementation plan. - Participate in longer-range resource and operational planning, and coordinate with other business functions as necessary. - Lead discussions with Business Analysts and/or other members of their technical teams during requirements gathering and provide guidance on writing highly complex technical specifications. - Coordinate activities with team members for successful transition of application through development, testing, implementation and maintenance stages. - As the primary point of escalation, assist in the design and development of internal tools, deployment solutions, and processes for the development team. - Focus on all functional components and ensure the team delivers technical solutions as directed by management, to achieve consensus and product a single result, and works with an awareness of related areas. - Design, develop and support internal tools, deployment solutions and processes to support the team’s development efforts. - Develop and take the lead in maintaining relationships and integrating activities with other teams to ensure successful implementations of company and department wide projects. - Lead collaborations with cross-functional teams and contribute to group outcomes. Assume responsibility for individual and team assignments and software development projects. - Lead efforts in the design, development, and implementation stages of the system development life-cycle including analysis, design, coding, documentation, testing, implementation, and training. - support problems. - Support and review production applications to ensure the stability of applications and appropriate access to data in the production environment. - Troubleshoot a wide variety of complex problems and identify solutions within broad applications and functional expertise. - Coordinate and support QA and UAT for enhancements and productions fixes. - Perform other duties as required.
