Please go through the job description and send me your resume if you are interested so that I can arrange a call with our EVP and VP.* *Senior Systems Engineer* *6+ months * *Burlington, MA* Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying and supporting the end-to-end infrastructure architecture for one or more HERE service. This role works with R&D, Architects and Project Managers in a cross functional team environment. Focus on the infrastructure and operational elements of designing & deploying a service; examples include but not limited to: - ensuring services are highly available, - having robust infrastructure capacity in place that is fully resilient across multiple data centers and in public/private cloud. - automate as much as possible to eliminate human errors. - work closely with key stakeholders, including Product Development Team, HERE IT, Technology Strategy Architecture teams and Service Operations teams in ensuring the technologies adhere to 99.9% or higher uptime. *Day to Day * - Collect the requirements from stakeholders. Design, develop, operate/maintain highly available, robust, resilient & supportable solutions and ensure a streamlined/automated application deployment - Translate conceptual design to physical layout. Backup and recovery best practices to be used for prevention of data loss - Release Engineering. Take new releases from inception to deployment, functioning as both a technical and project lead - Performance, Monitoring and Availability. Work with R&D Team to build a set of Performance benchmarks and test each new release of Data Core applications against defined benchmarks - Work as part of a service specific engineering team to design, deploy and support 24x7x365 operations - Work as part of a virtual team of engineers responsible for defining and driving technology standards across the Service Platforms team - Consolidates system data to formulate reports for business managers *Qualifications* · Bachelor’s Degree - Strong Experience with Amazon AWS, OpenStack, Cloudstack, EC2, S3 and continuous deployment and delivery - Deep Understanding of DevOps skills across Build and Release, Continuous Integration and automation tools such as Jenkins/Git/Puppet/Docker/Go/Artifactory/Mesos/Marathon/Consul - 5+ years’ experience with Linux (CentOS) - Experience working with App-Server & Open Source Components: Tomcat, Memcached, Redis, Hadoop - 5+ years’ experience with scripting languages: Bash, Python, Ruby - 2+ years’ experience using monitoring/logging Tools: Nagios, Cloudwatch, Splunk, New Relic - Understanding of Network topology, DNS & load balanced environments - Ability to succeed in a highly matrixed, virtual and international culture where change and speed are part of daily work. - Strong analytical and strategic skills with clear understanding of the lifecycle of software based services. - Release Engineering skills - Exceptional verbal and documentation skills Dee Bhandari- Sr. Executive Recruiter Sonoma Consulting, Inc.
