*Job Summary:*
The IT Project Manager will be responsible for project administration tasks
for a project which will enhance a Financial Analytics and Contract data
warehouse. The role reports to the Business Data Warehouse team within
Disney Technology Solutions & Services. The role is responsible for
planning, monitoring, and managing data warehouse projects from initiation
through completion.
This will include a data and data warehouse enhancements for a contracts
and financials. Candidate should have experience in managing data
transformation and data warehouse projects.
*Essential Job Functions:*
Understands and manages development SDLC & Agile lifecycle. And can blend
as needed with external teams.
Identify and report IT risks and manage IT development projects for Disney
IT.
- Prepare and plan project kick off meetings and status update meetings.
- Prepares weekly status reports.
- Manages timesheets, budget tracking worksheets and resource
schedules.
- Develops and maintain project work plan(s), dependencies,
issues/risks logs and other deliverables as necessary.
- Frequent written & verbal communication to IT management on status,
issues, and blockers.
Work with cross-functional, matrix teams responsible for maintaining
hardware & software to ensure superior performance.
Oversee all phases of projects and supports the team in project
deliverables, schedule, cost, quality, and ROI.
Interfaces effectively with all levels and across organizational lines,
including the business units
Effectively utilizes external vendors and internal resources
Manage Offshore development resources
Review Requirements and refine as necessary.
Design technical requirements for ETL development on Informatica.
*Qualifications:*
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
Experience: 4+ years’ experience in the IT industry including *3+ years’
proven experience in project management administration *
Minimum 3 years’ experience in Business Intelligence project management is
highly desirable
PMP or Project Management Professional Certification is highly desirable
Clarity experience desirable
*Informatica PowerCenter developer*
*Data/ETL Architecture and designer.*
*Skills Required:*
Profound understanding of IT infrastructure & platforms used in
the business intelligence industry
Strong & detailed project management skills
Proven ability to meet tight deadlines
Work in a fast paced environment with sense of urgency.
Self-motivated, self-managed for continuous improvement
Problem solver
Strong written and oral communication skills
Detail oriented with strong analytical skills; may assist with business
analysis
