*Title: Java Developer (SaaS)* *Location: Boston, MA*
*Duration: 6 months+ contract* Client is looking for someone who is excited at the prospect of totally changing an industry that is ripe for change. This person must bring passion, excitement, and drive to everything he/she does. This person must have the willingness to do whatever it takes to deliver software in a rapidly changing environment. He/she should always strive to improve him/herself and the organization through innovation and efficiency. *Responsibilities:* Candidate will be part of a technology team delivering SaaS products for their customers. This person will be responsible for: *•Developing SaaS and website products using Java with the Spring Framework and Hibernate* •Reviewing application requirements and project documentation; asks follow-up questions as needed in order to gain a full understanding of requirements •Working hands-on with both backend and other frontend developers •Being involved in team architectural discussions •Solving complex problems, creating object models, defining API's, building web services, etc •Working in a very iterative/agile development environment •Able to quickly transition through 3 week production release cycles •Work directly with others (developers and internal stakeholders) to develop a solid understanding of the business application and requirements for which the application is being designed •Assist others with questions regarding the functionality of applications *Requirements:* The successful candidate must have the following experience, skills, and education: *•At least 5-7 years of experience in web development using Java and Spring* *•Understands and can apply MVC patterns* *•Has built SaaS applications in a service oriented architecture* *•Experience designing and building web services (SOAP, REST, or some other type)* •Does not need to be a DBA, but needs to understand traditional relational data models and how they map to object models.
