*Senior UI/UX Engineer*
*Location: Kansas City, MO*
*Duration: 6 Months*
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
• Coding and more coding: You’re happiest while coding. You love developing
web applications using JavaScript and know the ins and outs of various
frameworks including backbone, angular, node, require, etc.
• Collaboration and communication: You’d rather have a conversation than
read documentation. You thrive in cross-functional teams and can
communicate to anyone on the team ranging from product owners to designers
to engineers.
• Technical problem-solving: You’re ready to create reusable components and
tools that scale across applications. And that others can leverage to
accelerate the development process.
• Cross-platform development: You develop for a wide range of form factors,
including responsive experiences for mobile and tablet.
• Design and product leadership: You take ownership of the design and
front-end implementation with the product team. You believe great design is
great business and seek to have an influential role with the product team
as a driver for process and quality.
• Beyond pixels: You do whatever it takes to make a product successful.
You’re curious about how business, technology and customer behaviors impact
the product UX. And are ready to help any other team member at a moment’s
notice, including helping with the design or usability testing.
*QUALIFICATIONS*
• Four years of experience in human-*computer interaction, interaction
design, visual design, computer science, computer engineering or related
field designing for advanced web-based applications or platform-level
tools.*
• Two year experience working in *SDLC/agile/lean* development
environments.
• Online portfolio demonstrating a strong visual and interaction design
proficiency, as well as a superior understanding of current *front-end
coding* practices.
• Familiarity with human interface guidelines for web and mobile
technologies and their impact on the feasibility of design solutions.
• Experience with *dynamic, template-driven applications (ASP.Net MVC,
Java, etc.).*
• Proficient developing *web services and manipulating data in JSON and XML
format*.
• Proficient developing within *HTML5 and CSS3 specifications, with
LESS/SASS*. Must have solid experience developing *JavaScript, both with
and without frameworks*.
• Understanding of *user-centered design* principles, usability,
accessibility, SEO and other standard best practices.
• *Strong leadership, problem-solving, initiative, planning, and
organization skills.*
