*Role: Chief Architect* *Duration: 12 Months* *Location: Lansing, MI* *Visa: Only USC* The Security Specialist will play a pivotal role in the Cyber Security Enhancements Program that will improve and extend the State of Michigan’s security capabilities. Primary responsibilities will include leading, advising and creating security solutions for various projects and workstreams. The Security Specialist will work closely with the IT department’s security team, network and telecommunications team, server team, Specialisture team, project managers and other relevant stakeholders to accomplish these activities. The Security Specialist will be a key resource in both tactical activities as well as formal project initiatives following the standard project delivery methodology. The ideal candidate must be a quick start, must be resourceful to accomplish tasks, and able to operate in a large complex IT environment. The candidate will need to have a broad background in the security domain including the tools and technologies, best practice processes and governance as well as implementation and integration. The role requires both strategic planning as well as hands on technical design work including but not limited to creating security design deliverables and installing/configuring software and tools. *Skills Required:* Symantec Vontu DLP SIEM FireEye Splunk Application Scanning Tools (WebInspect or IBM App Scan) Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work with cross functional teams Pen Testing *Skills Preferred:* GRC - Governance, Risk & Compliance (Industry security domain) RSAM ArcSight Qualys (or related Pen Testing tools) Security Operations Center (SOC) exposure QRadar *Experience Required:* 7-10 years Security related domain such as strategy, architecture, product evaluations, implementation, operations. Proven track recond in large, complex IT environments Experience working with large teams and cross functional teams Experience with security framework Experience Preferred NIST security framework PCI FedRamp Infrastructure experience Device and application remedation Patch Management, Vulnerability Management, Incident Management *Education Required :* Education Preferred BS in Computer Science, IT, Math or related.
