Ensure adherence to existing enterprise direction and architectural strategies. *Technical/Functional Skills * Proven experience in architecture/design and development of Web Services for the mobile Applications. This middle layer acts as the service provider for all of the iOS and Android applications. High proficiency in Django framework (Python 2.x or 3.0 ) and common areas (json, memory management, Database design with Oracle technologies, Pyunit Testing framework, PEP 8 coding standards, Security) Front end device development experience is a huge plus. Experience with web application development for mobile form factors Experience in rapid prototyping and storyboard/wireframe development as part of application design – U/X and design knowledge is a plus. Comfortable in configuring on multiple operating systems (Mac/Windows/*nix/RHEL) Decent understanding of application performance tuning Proficient in self-testing of applications, unit testing and use of mock frameworks, test-driven development (TDD), and continuous integration/testing. Experience in building a software ‘product’ which will be transitioned to others for support and further evolution (including documentation, complete tooling/instrumentation, etc.) Experience using some of the following technologies: o Layered architecture, components and interfaces o Languages: Python o Web Services: JSON, REST, SOAP. o Development Environments: Eclipse IDE or Any other o Web Servers: Apache, Django Server. o Databases: Oracle, SQL Server, DB2/UDB, SQLite o Architectural Design using Visio, UML diagrams and Use Case documentation *Required * At least 7 plus years of recent experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting cross-platform computing applications in a large-scale, mainframe, midrange, and distributed environment as a Software Developer. Ability to perform detailed analysis of business problems and technical environments. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills. Ability to think strategically and implement iteratively. Ability to estimate financial impact of design/architecture alternatives. Proven track record of success in challenging the status quo, implementing new ideas and designs with a practical orientation. Business area subject matter expertise preferred Experience with application servers *Generic Skills * Should quickly pick up new technologies, programming languages.
