Job Title: Senior / Lead Performance QA Engineer Location: Plano, TX
Duration: 4 Months + *Job Description:* · The Sr. QA Performance Test Specialist will work under general supervision to monitor software quality and associated business/technical risks across the software development lifecycle. · Define and analyze technical risk for new and/or modified software products, then document, perform and interpret performance tests to mitigate risk. · Perform varied and complex assignments of the software and systems performance testing. · Investigate and resolve operational problems in conjunction with other technical personnel. · Guide, direct others and perform in the set-up and performance of the tests. · Prepare recommendations for testing and documentation procedures to be used in the product design phase through the initial production release. *Qualifications:* · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or substituted with 5+ years of relevant Performance Testing or Performance Engineering experience · Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and orally (status reports, test plans, test completion reports, SLT meetings, MBRs) · Minimum of 3+ years in a Test Lead role. · Must have well rounded testing skills with a firm understanding of performance testing methodologies, functional end to end testing, system testing, batch processing, user acceptance testing, and regression · Solid experience with HP Quality tools (ALM/Quality Center, Performance Center, LoadRunner, Sitescope) · Experience with a variety of test tools and software testing practices, including developing, implementing, maintaining and managing automated performance testing systems and environments · Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team. Experience working with geographically distributed teams, including offshore · Solid understanding how systems/applications utilize system resources like CPU and memory.
