*Title: Weblogic Admin.* *Location : St. Louis, MO* *Duration : 6 Months* *Job Description:* The Service Operations Expert is responsible for ensuring best in class performance and availability for business capabilities and growth through IT Service Management. The Service Operations Expert will be directly involved in the development of new systems and applications. The scope will include providing and automating Level 3 ITSM services and provisioning solutions, making it possible for DevOps teams to manage their infrastructure elements efficiently and reliably to enable building and deployment business IT solutions. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated ability to and implement enterprise and open-source solutions in a dynamic, global environment. *Responsibilities* · Level 3 availability management by ensuring end-to-end optimal performance and availability of the IT landscape · Application and middleware performance troubleshooting; and optimization of technical architecture · Build tools that facilitate cloud-based service creation and deployment in minutes · Enable teams to provision production environments through a fully automated workflow · Utilize enterprise and open source tools to monitor critical business applications and infrastructure components in order to perform detailed performance analysis, proactive tuning and alerting for end to end business critical workflows · Partner with the performance testing and capacity teams to provide performance and forecast reports on the health and load of critical business processes to help ensure applications are highly scalable and the IT landscape has adequate capacity · Create and maintain technical support playbooks and SOPs · Collaborate with the performance and development teams to identify performance tuning opportunities · Coordination/communication/influence of software development teams to adhere to continuous performance improvement and enterprise standards · Develop and manage internal relationships with leadership teams, business managers, Global IT and business teams as well as external relationships with IT vendors and industry peers · Work collaboratively across matrix organization to implement business IT solutions · Follow global IT processes for incident, change, and problem management as well as keeping CMDBs and knowledge base evergreen · Participate in incident and problem resolution *Qualifications* *Required Skills* · Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or Engineering) · 5+ years’ experience in 2nd level support with WebLogic and Apache web servers · Broad-based technology knowledge, with a curiosity that leads to continuous learning, and the ability to quickly grasp new ideas, concepts, and technologies · Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment · A demonstrated ability to learn and acquire new technologies as needed · Experience with one or more of the following technologies: o Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, SQS, Cloud Formation, VPCs, Route53, etc.) o Linux containerization (Docker) o Configuration management tools (e.g. Puppet, Chef, Salt Stack, Ansible) o Programming language (e.g. Scala, Ruby, GoLang, Java, etc.) o Service Oriented Architectures (SOA), Microservices, and a DevOps operating model · Experience with Linux administration · Experience with Unix batch / shell scripting · Ability to see things with a global mindset · Experience with Java applications performance tuning. · Experience with Oracle Service Bus · Experience analyzing head and thread dumps, and application logs · Strong interpersonal, organizational, written, oral communication, analytical and problem solving skills · Demonstrated success in contributing to a continuous process improvement environment · Demonstrated ability to assess, adopt and operationalize new technologies · Demonstrated willingness and ability to work in a fast-moving dynamic team-oriented environment · Ability to work in a fast paced environment and drive tactical response issues · Manage ambiguous situations, strong critical thinking and ability to be decisive while working cooperatively · Must be a self-starter, collaborate across team boundaries, drive issues to conclusion and hold others accountable for results · Must have strong influencing skills · Must be able to successfully manage small to medium-sized projects · Must be able to follow and adhere to company policies and procedures *Desired Skills* · Contributor to open-source projects · Experience with Jenkins or other CI tools. · Experience and understanding of application programming and enterprise architecture patterns · Experience with distributed data platforms (e.g. Spark, Hadoop, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, Kafka, Neo4j etc.) · Working knowledge of application and data integration technologies and patterns · Working knowledge in Information Security, Data Privacy and regulatory compliance as it pertains to data · Experience with Cloud Foundry · Experience with Application Performance Management (APM) solutions · Windows Server administration experience · Knowledge of relational databases · Knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) frameworks · Familiarity with SCRUM or Agile software development methodologies · Experience with enterprise and open source monitoring and performance tools · Experience with Windows shell scripting · Software development experience in Java or similar languages a plus *Candidates who succeed in this fast-paced dynamic environment excel in the following competencies:* · Team Orientation: Works cooperatively with others: encourages participation, values the contribution of all team members. · Relationships and Networks: Develops effective relationships within the team and company;
